Delivery: the allow-list, and readers beyond Kindle
Sendle delivers by email — the same channel Amazon built for personal documents. One approval step, and everything flows.
Approve the sender (one time)
Amazon only accepts personal documents from addresses you’ve approved.
- Open Amazon’s Manage Your Content & Devices → Preferences → Personal Document Settings.
- Under Approved Personal Document E-mail List, add the sender address shown on your Sendle Account page.
- Send yourself something small to confirm it lands — the onboarding sample, or any short paste.
It didn’t arrive — run this checklist
- Check the allow-list first — it’s almost always this. Amazon emails you a rejection notice when it blocks an unapproved sender.
- Confirm the Kindle address on your Account page matches your device’s address (Amazon shows it under the same Personal Document Settings).
- Give it a few minutes, then check your send history — “sent” means it left Sendle.
- Still nothing? Email support@sendle.app with the book title.
Kobo, Boox, or just your inbox
Sendle delivers a standard EPUB by email, so any reader that accepts documents by email works the same way. For everything else — Kobo, Boox, reMarkable — send to your own inbox and sideload; the EPUB is standard.
“Kindle” is simply the common case. Nothing about your books is Kindle-specific.
